A 4-Day Exclusive Retreat Experience

There are so many retreats and programs out in the world promising us relief from our challenges and struggles. From where I see it, this is one of the main problems with the self-help, new age and therapeutic industry. We promise all kinds of things to our clients that most often lead clients to false hopes of fixing what worries them. I want to help practitioners stop promising one-stop solutions and start promising presence and true connection. I believe this is the healing elixir that will soothe our souls. When we start learn how to hold space so that each soul can emerge, we stop fixing, we stop forcing, we stop thinking of ourselves and one another as something to be mended and we start holding truly transformational space. 

This training is something I hope that all humans want to partake in. This training is to help us understand how to hold space for all kinds of relationships in our lives, including ourselves. This training helps with intimate partnerships, family dynamics, friendships and more. When we learn how to radically witness, we learn how to show up in community in ways that build connection and acceptance. Learning to radically witness helps us understand how to hold the differences we carry and to allow every human to be exactly where they are. This is a training that will carry you through many different life circumstances and can be useful wherever you go. 

Each person will be responsible for their own lodging and accommodations. Lunch will be provided each day for all participants and dinner will be provided on the last, ceremonial day of our retreat intensive. All meals will be gluten free, organic, locally-sourced when possible and made with natural and reduced sugars. If you have other dietary needs, those can and will be accommodated as well. 

Jen offers one-on-one sessions for individuals in need of them after their retreat experience. This often helps clients personally integrate and understand what they experienced during their retreat and can help to ground them back into the reality of their relational and communal world back home. Individual sessions after the retreat are separate expenses and can be purchased on an as-needed basis. 

I don’t take holding space lightly. I mean, sometimes I do because we need humor and that is also part of creating powerful space but when we hold space that changes us and the people with us in that space, we first create strong boundaries. This is the container element of space holding. We create limits and speak to those limits. Limits helps us feel safe and held so that the feminine process of feeling can happen inside that space. Once the container is created, holding space means that we give room for the genuine and real to emerge. So often, we do not get these spaces because we’re judged, rushed, preached to, scolded or rejected. Many of us do not have experiences of sacred space even amidst “healing circles”. These circles and spaces are often filled with agendas and expectations. When we truly create a space that feels safe, the soul will emerge in all kinds of ways that it has not had permission to before and we will experience joy, freedom, grief and pure relief. 

One of my deepest intentions for these retreats is to first and foremost create a space where you, as the practitioner, can understand the unique gifts that you bring to the space you create. I want you to feel acknowledged, seen and witnessed for the way you create powerful containers — we do not get enough of this as healing artists. My second intention for this training is that we learn more deeply how to become practitioners that do not hold agendas for our clients but that we only hold the space for what wants to happen. When we do this, we truly create new ways of relating on the planet. We truly learn how to witness one another, not for who we hope that person to be, but who they really are. This is deep relational healing that not only touches us, but ripples out and changes the world. When we create relational healing, we create deep relationships with our clients that not only support them, but support the Work we’re here to do. 

Groups can be challenging. I don’t pretend that they are for everyone. In fact, a lot of times I am horribly awkward in a group. We will have moments where we can speak to this collectively as well as in one-on-one spaces. This retreat will be highly focused around the encouragement for you to honor the ebbs and flows of your own way of moving through the world.
